Social Media is the secret sauce for modern education success, do you agree?

I believe social media is the venue for change. When people can engage in open discussion from across the planet – implemental solutions become the natural by-product. Some higher-education institutions are doing better at fixing the K-12 shortcomings for college preparedness.

Our role in society is understanding this value, understand this recovery strategy and then share or force it downward towards K-12.

Perhaps, I am a hopeless optimistic; I truly believe that the impossible is possible, and everything is possible through open dialog! K-12 can be incrementally improved / fixed over time… we must have a team-based strategy to do so…

Social Media is the secret sauce for modern education success! Very smart people have discovered methods to best utilize the Internet for sharing information, bridging across all cultural boundaries, and building relationships (Network) anywhere in the planet at the speed of electrons. The last great change in man’s evolutionary process was the Industrial Revolution; in my opinion, Social Media is a Revolution equal to the Industrial Revolution!

Because of Social Media no boundaries exist across cultural divides; information and opinions have become king. The rules of engagement have become simple as well, because with social media, there are no rules. Social Media is the second Industrial Revolution; the natural product is knowledge….

Social Media can lead the charge for Compulsory Education Solution (CES), are we ready?

• Study High Schools succeeding to get high-school graduates ready for college
• Document and test this understanding
• Share this understanding with educator training institutions, to better prepare future K-12 teachers
• Share this understanding with the K-12 community

The Extraordinary Regulatory and Political Challenges have Weakened the Value of Higher Education!

Too many rules, not enough value creativity has contributed to reducing the focus on career and higher-education improvements and innovation; the entire industry is becoming stagnant. Just as stagnation in pond water can’t sustain life; stagnation in higher education can’t sustain intellectual growth. I see the solution as using greater advancements in technology such as online education systems. This advancements acts as a countermeasure against this stagnation. Accredited online courses, degree programs and training certificates have become the bridge joining innovations and education improvements.

Today, because of the advances in online education systems, higher education is no longer limited by physical location or time. Now, a student can take a class or earn a degree almost anywhere in the world. Online education’s flexibility is breathing fresh air into the industry and reducing the effects of extraordinary regulatory and political challenges. All higher education institutions, including career colleges, need to continue to implement innovative and online technologies to make education more accessible to a wider variety of students.

Higher Education Aeration Technology (HEAT) is what I call these improvements in education powered by innovation. I define HEAT as the natural countermeasure to the restrictive and damaging effects of the extraordinary regulatory and political challenges. HEAT drives career education into an evolutionary practice that seeks out education delivery improvements. These improvements should be designed energetically to provide a higher quality education to reach more people.

• HEAT is the infinite online education process reducing education boundaries, resulting in smart education for all.
• HEAT as the natural countermeasure to the restrictive and damaging effects of the extraordinary regulatory and political challenges.
• Quality Higher-Education and Quantity Higher-Education joined at the hip using HEAT!

What is important to understand is that education is power, regardless of where you earn it. Some higher education institutions provide greater opportunities to transform an education into jobs that pay well. Today, technology and the online education communities are speeding up marketability! The question is this: Are students taking the steps to increase their marketability?

With modern liberty, the weapon of choice is always the voting box. The 21st century has brought about great change, with the invention of the Internet, e-mail, and mass media. No corner of the earth can escape the politician’s message, regardless if its a just message or not. The phenomenon of speed of light communications today, is completely relentless. There are absolutely no boundaries to communications in the 21st century. For that reason, the weapon of choice to protect our Constitutional Republic must be communicating with many equal voices combined with the true relentless power of the voting box.

The American War of Independence is never-ending; freedom is always under attack by the few who believe they know better then the majority, or by the few that believe they are the majority.

Every citizen of the United States has this power to agree or disagree with his or her elected politicians. The tool to make change in this enormous political environment, is the voting box. The voting box must always be the weapon of choice because, the greatest force in our Constitutional Republic is the passion of its voting citizens!

Regardless of where your political beliefs reside, if you lean left, middle or right, is not the concern, what is important is questioning the career politicians to keep them all honest and true to our best wishes. When we are questioning, we’re pro-actively taking the time to understand each issue that interests us, and affects us, as long as we independently determine our own belief at the end of the day that is the true voice of the constitutional republic. Read, write, and question everything!

As a modern day society, it appears we have forgotten the groups of courageous citizens who banded together and risked everything to ordain our constitutional republic. A constitutional republic that many generations before us have been blessed to enjoy. The problem today is that liberals, moderates, and conservatives focus more on the argument than the equal importance of having the argument. Agree or not, the disagreement of different political viewpoints represents the only true important factor in the rhetoric. Because we must never stop debating, never stop disagreeing, and never stop questioning because that is the heart of our constitutional republic.

Self-awareness and Social Change in Higher Education

The problem is modern day educators were trained by not so modern thinking professors whose perception of student learning was to learn the professor’s way, regardless if the learning resulted in any students’ perceived value at all.

A study published in the World Journal of Education; this research examines the progress of self-awareness in students as they struggle to adapt themselves to their current environment. What I found interesting is this study is much like a spider’s domain, instead of a silky web; the patterns described more as theoretical connections between a student and his or her academic struggles. The patterns represent the student’s theoretical background, an interconnected web of method for study, results, discussions, society, family, culture, religion, language, economic status, work experience, academia, faculty relationships, peer relationships, and how student’s perceive themselves. This seems complex, but it is not because the interaction occurs 360 degrees seamlessly during a student academic journey. Academic institutions that can appreciate, reflect, and develop the education systems around this understanding have the potential to increase enrolment, retention, and graduation, by contributing to student’s positive entry into society…

This study exposed that societal settings are particularly significant to the modern-day  college or university student. An appreciative acceptance of the student’s individualities of social, cultural and environment classifications may contribute meaningfully to the understanding of common problems faced by academics in education inside or outside the field. This new established understanding of social awareness is closely linked to the other elements of society; there are no natural boundaries, learning will naturally evolve when permitted.

By encouraging students the ability of becoming self-aware, these modern-day students are able to function better in their community and to continue inspiring higher-education improvement, as they take on the role as the new contemporary educator.
